I. Product Overview

Parallel slab gate valves (or Parallel Gate Valves) are primarily used to control the on/off of media in pipelines and other equipment, mainly utilized in drilling well control systems and drilling fluid manifolds (such as kill manifolds, choke manifolds, mud manifolds, standpipe manifolds). Commonly, there are two types: rising stem parallel gate valve and non-rising stem parallel gate valve. They are also categorized into manual and hydraulic (actuated) based on the mode of operation.

As a core component of the wellhead equipment in oil production, the parallel slab gate valve is responsible for opening or shutting off pipeline media and controlling the direction of the fluid. They are mainly used in drilling and oil production well control systems, such as: kill manifolds, choke manifolds, mud manifolds, standpipe manifolds, drilling fluid manifolds, and other high-pressure manifolds.
II. Design Features

The flow passage of the high-pressure gate valve is straight-through, requiring a small opening torque when under pressure.

The connection at both ends can be flange, thread, or hammer union end (or union connection), and the design and manufacture comply with the API 6A specification.

The valve slab (gate) and valve seat are thermal spray welded, offering high hardness and good wear resistance.

The high-pressure gate valve body is an integral forging, providing high strength and excellent pressure-bearing capability.

Easy to operate, reliable sealing, smooth (full-bore) flow channel, low flow resistance, and long service life.

Simple and compact structure, good manufacturability, and low cost.

When the high-pressure gate valve is in the fully open or fully closed state, the closure member is subjected to minimal erosion from the medium, ensuring reliable operation under high pressure.
