High-Pressure Choke Valve Product Overview

I. Product Description

1. High-pressure choke valves are specialized valves used to adjust the flow rate and pressure of a medium by changing the flow path area in high-pressure pipelines. There are two main types: Fixed Choke Valves and Adjustable Choke Valves. Adjustable choke valves are further categorized by structure into three types: Needle Type, Cylinder Type (or Cage/Piston Type), and a third type often referring to the adjustable Orifice Plate Type. Adjustable unidirectional choke valves are divided into Manual Chokes and Hydraulic Chokes.

2. The high-pressure choke valves designed and manufactured by our company comply with API Specification 6A and API Specification 16C. The adjustable unidirectional chokes achieve flow and pressure regulation by using the cone on the needle stem, the upward/downward movement of the plunger (piston), or the rotation of the orifice plate. Fixed choke valves achieve regulation by changing the specifications of the Fixed Bean (Orifice) to adjust the cross-sectional area of the fluid passage.

3. Our company supplies high-pressure choke valves in specifications ranging from 2in to 4 1/16in. Available connection types include Flanged and Union ends. The operating pressure ranges from 35 MPa to 140 MPa (5,000 Psi to 20,000 Psi).

II. Design Features

1. The flow rate adjustment of the high-pressure choke valve can be read directly from the scale.

2. By embedding hard alloy (cemented carbide) in the choke bean (orifice) and the stem cone, and manufacturing the plunger and orifice plate from a special tungsten carbide material, the valve life is significantly extended.

3. The valve seat and the top of the valve stem are made of tungsten carbide hard alloy, providing excellent resistance to corrosion and erosion.

4. Using a valve stem with a cylindrical top ensures good fluid flow performance, low vibration, and low noise.

5. The valve body and the outlet flange are designed as a two-piece structure, which makes valve seat replacement quick and convenient.

6. The flow indicated by the valve scale and the dimensions of the two end connections (Union or Flange) are fully consistent with international (foreign) products.

7. The specifications and dimensions of the fixed choke beans (orifices) are in Imperial units and are completely interchangeable with international standards.
